Meghan Markle files complaint with ITV over Piers Morgan comments

"Don't try and cry 'cause if anyone should be crying it should be me", Osbourne began while holding a tissue in her hand.

Morgan previously said he did not believe that staff of the monarchy had dismissed Meghan's requests for help, as she had claimed in an exclusive interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The U.K.'s Office of Communications said it received 41,000 complaints about Morgan's comments regarding Meghan and Harry's interview with Oprah Winfrey.

The former CNN host said he did not believe Markle when she said at one point she "didn't want to be alive anymore", sparking a deluge of complaints.

"Meghan raised concerns about how [Piers Morgan's] words affect the issue of mental health and what it might do to others contemplating suicide", he wrote on social media. Carolyn McCall, the chief executive of ITV, came out in Markle's support, saying she believed her "completely" while emphasising that her channel took mental health seriously.

THOUSANDS of people have signed petitions to get Piers Morgan reinstated in his position as host of ITV's breakfast show Good Morning Britain.

In a tweet as the programme aired today, Morgan said he stood by his remarks and said he would fight for freedom of speech.

'On mental health itself, you will have seen just this week the Government has put I think another £70million into addressing some of the very serious mental health issues I think which arise not least from this pandemic, being stuck at home has been very, very punishing physically but also mentally for people and I think recognising the stresses and strains of mental health, outside of that particular royal story, are very, very important indeed'.

Piers Morgan storms off set after a heated debate about Meghan Markle's interview.

Among those claims made by both Harry and Meghan was that the duo was financially "cut off" by the royal family after Megxit, that while Meghan was pregnant one royal expressed concerns over "how dark" Archie's skin would be, and that the pressures and control she felt under while a working royal lead Meghan to a place where she "didn't want to live". "I'm off to spend more time with my opinions", he told his 7.8 million Twitter followers.

Piers Morgan says he and broadcaster ITV "agreed to disagree" over Meghan Markle comments.

He commented: "I think it's fair to say, although the woke crowd will think that they've cancelled me, I think they will be rather disappointed when I re-emerge".

"I wish I had the privilege to sit on the fence", Beresford tweeted after standing up to Morgan. "A presenter who's not afraid to say it how it is".

"The whole family is saddened to learn the full extent of how challenging the last few years have been for Harry and Meghan", the statement read.

Queen Elizabeth II said Meghan and Harry, who quit royal life previous year, and their son Archie would remain "much-loved family members".

Prince Charles, the heir to the throne, remained tight-lipped when he was asked by reporters about the interview while visiting a hospital.
