Police later said both attackers were killed instantly and evidence collected at the scene indicated one of them was a woman. Police said the wounded include churchgoers and four security guards, Yahoo News reports.
The family - including two daughters, aged nine and 12 - and another family of five, which carried out the suicide bombing of a police headquarters, all belonged to the same Koran study group and were linked to local extremist network Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD), which has pledged allegiance to Islamic State.
According to the priest, Father Wilhelmus Tulak, a total of ten people were injured, with a parking attendant suffering from burns, as a result of his attempt in trying to stop the suicide bomber. The Islamic State took credit for that attack.
No group has claimed responsibility for the bombing.
"The bike was destroyed and there are body parts", he added.
The incident occurred when Christians in Indonesia were celebrating Palm Sunday, a Christian feast that falls on the Sunday ahead of Easter.
Footage from security camera nearby shows the explosion on a relatively quiet road in front of the church.
"Whatever the motive is, this act isn't justified by any religion because it harms not just one person but others, too", Yaqut Cholil Qoumas, Indonesia's Religious Affairs Minister, said in a statement.
