The venom that Aaron faced in the early 1970s was strong as a he closed in on Babe Ruth's then all-time career record of 714 home runs.

Aaron played the first 21 years of his Major League Baseball career with the Braves franchise, starting in Milwaukee before the team's move to Atlanta.

Labeled the longtime Home Run King, Aaron was known for being an iconic power hitter for the Atlanta Braves.

Aaron has six children in total from his two marriages.

He hit.280 during his rookie season and had 13 home runs. Exactly one month later, he was traded to the Brewers. He retired after hitting.229 in 1976.
