However, on Wednesday (27 January), he again complained of chest pain and was taken to the Apollo Hospital. He was rushed to the hospital for further check-up.

"Dr Saptarshi Basu & Dr Saroj Mondal of Woodlands hospital are attending Sourav Ganguly".

An earlier medical bulletin issued by the Apollo Gleneagles Hospital said: "Ganguly went for a checkup of his cardiac situation on Wednesday and his vital parameters are stable". "Dr Aftab Khan will do the stenting tomorrow in presence of Dr Devi Shetty", Woodlands Hospital said. He was subsequently brought to the Apollo Hospital. Ganguly had suffered a sudden blackout during a workout session at his Behala resident on January 2. He underwent angioplasty on his right coronary artery at Woodlands Hospital.

The former India captain had spent five days at the hospital before he was discharged after the doctors termed him clinically fit on January 7. He was diagnosed with blockages in three coronary arteries. I am absolutely fine.
