The Ontario government says that some additional school boards across multiple public health units not included in the list above would have some schools resuming in-person learning, while others in those regions would continue remote learning.
The Leeds, Grenville and Lanark District Health Unit has managed to keep the virus under control, with 20 active cases of COVID-19 on Wednesday.
The University of Waterloo announced on Wednesday that online learning will continue through the spring term.
We are still waiting for word on whether some Ontario students will return to the classroom in-person next week.
The government then declared a state of emergency on January 12 and extended online learning for schools in five hot spots until February 10.

Less than a day after Premiere Ford announced that the decision to return to school would be in the hands of Health Units and School Boards, the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario (CDSBEO) has laid out its strategy.
The government said it's taking a regional approach to reopening schools, given that the rates of COVID-19 cases in each community vary. It makes sense to use public health units because local medical officers of health can issue health-related orders in their jurisdictions in addition to any rules imposed by the province.
"The impact of this outbreak on the facility has been tragic and these interim results of a variant are extremely concerning for everyone", Dr. Charles Gardner said in a statement.
A spokeswoman for Pfizer Canada said the company heard Ford's concerns and recognized the delays will make immunization efforts more hard. Being more than three and a half months since the state began releasing the data, this week's new report brings the combined total of cases among students to 4,772 and 3,576 among staff.
