'Election' Actress Jessica Campbell Dead At 38 | 96.5 KISS-FM

Jessica was best known for her role as Tammy Metzler in "Election" which she starred in alongside Reese Witherspoon, Matthew Broderick and Chris Klein, whose younger sister she played in the movie.

Her GoFundMe page set up by her family expressed how they were now left with unexpected cremation, memorial, and probate expenses as well as the cost of planning for her son Oliver's future.

Her cousin Sarah Wessling said Jessica had worked a normal day seeing patients at her practice before her tragic death.

The family also said she had been complaining about a bit of a cold and had felt a little congested.

Her aunt went to the bathroom to check on Jessica and saw her passed out on the floor. EMTs were unsuccessful in reviving her. A cause has not been disclosed, but Campbell reportedly had experienced flu-like symptoms the morning of her death.

Following Freaks and Geeks, Campbell went on to star opposite Glenn Close in The Safety Of Objects. Entertainment Hub sends condolences to Jessica Campbell's family, friends, and fans during this hard time.

The family says Jessica has been cremated as they plan to erect a monument.

The group, described as men and women aged from their teens to 40s, took tests at the airport which came back positive. The man, who initially tested negative on arrival, should have been left at home for two weeks.

The GoFundMe page was created to help her with the expenses and support Oliver, Jessica's 10-year-old son.

Campbell had quit acting in 2002 and went on to become a successful naturopathic physician in Portland.

Her last acting credit was in 2002, before she decided to make a career shift to become a naturopathic physician.

Wessling remembered Campbell as "a true adventurer in every sense of the word".

After TMZ reported the news, Campbell's former co-stars, including Reese Witherspoon, and her fans paid tribute to her. "Election" was the first one for both of us.

Apatow shared on Twitter that some of his "favorite memories of making Freaks and Geeks are of watching Jessica Campbell and @sethrogen figure their relationship out in improvisations", as she played tuba player Amy Andrews, a love of interest of Rogen's Ken Miller for two episodes in 2000.
