Chris Evans Seemingly Denies Report Of Reprising Captain America Role


Regardless of the nature of Evans' reported return to the MCU, it is sure to excite Marvel fans around the globe. This would be similar to how Robert Downey Jr. had been operating in the MCU post-Iron Man 3 with appearances in Captain America: Civil War and Spider-Man: Homecoming.

Chris Evans is gearing up to return to the role of the Captain America in the MCU.

Evans was reportedly reluctant to return to the role, having been very public about his exit from the MCU after Avengers: Endgame, but Deadline reports that his decision had "changed in recent months as the idea was floated of Evans returning to the MCU as Rogers".

Chris Evans was last seen as Captain America in Avengers: Endgame, with the character passing his shield onto Anthony Mackie's Sam Wilson as an old man after defeating Thanos and travelling back in time to return the stolen Infinity Stones to their respective timelines.

No matter the reason for Evans' return as Steve Rogers, the news will likely polarize the fanbase, with many excited over his potential return, and others disappointed over the brand's refusal to shift the attention to a new slate of heroes.
