LA County Announces 5,014 New COVID-19 Cases, 16 New Deaths

The total number of lab-confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ontario now stands at 111,216, including the deaths and the recoveries.

Information is also available for COVID-19 cases and deaths among DuPage County residents by race, ethnicity, severity, long-term care facility outcomes, underlying medical conditions and doubling time. There were 53 new positive cases in the county since Saturday.

Sumter County is now reporting 3,442 cases - an increase of 14 from Saturday to Sunday - among 1,931 men, 1,473 women, 19 non-residents and 19 people listed as unknown. There have been no new positive cases among inmates for several months.

A complete COVID-19 report is expected Monday afternoon.

The number of people in Ottawa hospitals with COVID-19 complications fell slightly on Saturday to 20, from 21 on Friday.

There also was another COVID-19-related death reported in Okanogan County on Wednesday. That's over one thousand active cases higher than the peak from the first wave which was 401 back on June 1st. The number of coronavirus cases in Tennessee is 374,493 on Monday with 7,975 new cases.

Since the pandemic started in January, of the 3,595 people who have died in Ontario due to the disease, 2,494 were over the age of 80.

In the Hastings Prince Edward Public Health region, which is moving to the "Yellow-Protect" zone under the provincial framework, reported three new cases. Epidemiological links have been established for all five of the cases.

Lucas County has had 15,743 cases, as of Sunday, according to the county health department. Almost a quarter of all cases - 17,240 - have been reported in just the last two weeks.
