Ex-NFL Running Back Lorenzo Taliaferro Dead At 28

Former Baltimore Ravens running back Lorenzo Taliaferro died Wednesday in his hometown of Williamsburg, Virginia, according to the York-Poquoson Sheriff's Office.

The sheriff's office says they can not release any medical information about Taliaferro's death. Medics also arrived and transported the patient to a local hospital where he later passed away.

Cops did not release a cause of death. but a family member toldFox45 in Baltimore that Taliaferro had suffered a heart attack.

A fourth-round draft pick by Baltimore in 2014, Taliaferro ran for 339 yards and scored five touchdowns in 19 games for the Ravens from 2014 to 2016.

Taliaferro, though, was forced to go on injured reserve late in his rookie year. and was eventually moved to fullback. Injuries would plague his next two seasons, with him appearing in only six games total.

Taliaferro was waived by the Ravens in 2017 and played briefly in 2018 for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
