Lewandowski has been part of Trump's legal effort to overturn election results in several key battleground states.

Numerous White House and campaign officials have tested positive in this latest wave of infections, including Trump chief of staff Mark Meadows.

Corey Lewandowski, a senior adviser to Trump's reelection campaign, confirmed to CNBC Thursday that he tested positive for Covid-19 a day earlier. And 37-year-old Iowa Republican Congressmember-elect Ashley Hinson also reported a positive coronavirus test.

He told CNN there was "no legitimacy" to the comments of Trump campaign officials and supporters alleging election malfeasance. Joe Biden is forecasted to win his home state of Pennsylvania, which would make him the 46th President of the United States.

Lewandowski was spotted at the White House at the Election Night party and traveled to Philadelphia in subsequent days to challenge the vote count in Pennsylvania. Lewandowski said he believes he contracted the virus during his trip, according to reporting from The New York Times. When CNBC asked how he was feeling, Lewandowski replied, "I feel great".

Another advisor also tested positive, according to the newspaper, but was not identified nor was it stated if the person attended election night events at the president's residence.
