Hello! Welcome to our coverage on the 3rd day of the O2 Arena ATP Final, where we have the biggest match of the event so far with French Open Champion and No. 2 Rafael Nadal with US Open Champion and No. 3 Dominic Theme.
Defending champion Tsitsipas had a disappointing start to his campaign, not least of which watching a 4-1 lead in the first set tie-break evaporate, when he had certainly started the match the brighter against Thiem.
"I had the feeling that the match was a very high level".
"We can not come in touch with people not related to the tennis so that makes it a safe environment, but it's pretty rough because we get only two or three minutes of fresh air every day and no sun", Thiem said.
Nadal eased past Rublev on Sunday while Thiem was made to work harder in a three-set win over Tsitsipas in a rematch of last year's final.
The serve in particular was a big difference between the two, with Rublev not creating a single break point and becoming increasingly frustrated as the match wore on.
Thiem won three straight points to move 6-3 ahead in the tiebreaker. The Spaniard raced to a straight-sets victory in a match that lasted close to 80 mins.
The 27-year-old has already enjoyed a year to remember, reaching two Grand Slam finals and winning one of the four majors for the first time when he defeated Alexander Zverev in the US Open final in September.

A small but growing number of Republicans are also backing calls for the president-elect to be given daily intelligence briefings. All of Trump's tweets were flagged as being disputed and potentially misleading.
"He dealt with my serve better and took time to step back and apply more pressure to me", Tsitsipas said.
Rublev, who has won a tour-leading five titles during the coronavirus -interrupted 2020 season, was broken again in the first game of the second set, leaving him with a mountain to climb.
Thiem mixed things up against Tsitsipas, and while he is a solid volleyer, he tends to come in to finish his points off at the net but threw in a few serve-volleys against the Greek. I didn't suffer much with my serve.
"I was not serving good at all because I was a little bit nervous, which is normal", Rublev said.
Earlier, Novak Djokovic received the ATP Tour No. 1 trophy after finishing the year at the top of the rankings for a record-equalling sixth time.
He has been forced to withdraw from the ATP Finals on six occasions due to injury or fatigue and his style of play often leaves Nadal exhausted by the time November comes around. "I was pretty lucky to get the first set, 2-5 down in the tie-break, and against Rafa, obviously it's nice to win the first set but still I had to stay super focused". Medvedev went 0-3 in this event a year ago. "But I really don't need to show even to myself or to no one that if I am playing my best tennis I think I can win in every surface and against any player", he said.
