The developers also announced the delay of the Kate Bishop Operation launch, and the Xbox Series X|S launch.

Marvel's Avengers has slowly been adding new content and addressing issues with the game ever since its launch in early September; for example, Crystal Dynamics has added the ability for Captain America to smash through doors with his shield after players requested the feature.

With all of this talk of 2021 updates, it is only fitting that Crystal Dynamics also teased that its "biggest Avengers Initiative addition yet" is still to come, complete with a new hero, map region and narrative arc. This is, in part, why we have taken our responsibility developing Marvel's Avengers so seriously.

I'd like to end this State of the Game update with a heartfelt note to you - our fans. Five years later, with all Super Heroes outlawed and the world in peril, the only hope is to reassemble Earth's Mightiest Heroes.
