The score is being created by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross, who have previously collaborated with Fincher on 2010's The Social Network, 2011's The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, and Gone Girl.

The black-and-white biopic follows the life of screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz and his battle with director Orson Welles over the screenplay credit of "Citizen Kane".

Directing and producing for the Netflix series Mindhunter since 2016.

Mortal Kombat 11 Adds Another 80s Icon as a Playable Character
This new edition, the most komplete to date, will include MK 11 , both Kombat Pack 1 & 2, and the recent Aftermath expansion. Game developer NetherRealm Studios just announced upcoming video game Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate and Kombat Pack 2 .

The movie is a passion project for Fincher as his father, Jack, wrote the screenplay before passing away in April 2003.

The film also includes stars like Amanda Seyfried, Lily Collins, Arliss Howard, Tom Pelphrey, Sam Troughton, Ferdinand Kingsley, Tuppence Middleton, Tom Burke and Charles Dance. Its title hints at the presumed agenda, which is to re-litigate the issue of whether screenwriter Herman J. Mankiewicz was the true force behind Orson Welles's debut. To keep with the film's period setting, Reznor and Ross relied only on instruments that would be available at the time, which means fans shouldn't expect a synth-oriented score. As you can tell from the teaser, Mank is shot in black and white to reflect the 1930s film aesthetic. It's breathtaking even by David Fincher standards.

The movie is considered an awards season contender and will be released on Netflix and in certain theaters on December 4th, 2020. Watch the first official trailer for the drama in the video below.
