Blue Moon Saturday Night For Halloween and Cold!

As the saying goes, this colorful breakfast will only come around once in a blue moon-quite literally-so be sure to act fast if you're in the area.

The good news for us here in Western New York is the weather should be clear skies on Halloween night, so it will be ideal viewing weather to see the full moon!

As with many colloquialisms, the expression has logical origins. October 31st from around 8.19 PM IST (Indian Standard Time).

However, a minority of pedants have questioned whether this is actually the case this Saturday. If the blue moon won't really be blue, then I should be compensated with pumpkin pie. The occurrence of the first full moon took place around October 1 and October 2 while the second full moon is poised to take place in a few days.

Blue Moon has been a significant part of enticing folklores from time immemorial while being a crucial element in the backdrop of dramatic, mysterious and horror stories.

We are just about a week away from Halloween and the next full moon.

Massive turnout as Americans cast early election votes
Almost 127,000 people cast ballots there on the first day, a record in the state, and lines remained long throughout the week. Brownsville curbside voters are seen at the Brownsville Event Center casting their ballots Friday.

However, astronomers are following the 19-year cycle of the Moon's movement around the Earth.

Arvind Paranjpaye, director of Nehru Planetarium, Mumbai, told news agency PTI: "When there are two full Moons in a calendar month, the second full moon is called the Blue Moon". The meaning of the phrase is akin to "never".

Experts suggest this relates to the Moon deceiving observers by arriving too early in the seasons.

In most years, we only see one moon a month. Songs, television shows and other pop culture references often misrepresent the uniqueness of the blue moon, she added.

It is going to be a chilly Saturday night for Halloween and this year trick or treaters will be out under the "blue moon".
