There have been five new cases of Covid-19 reported in New Zealand four of which are from the community and one in managed isolation.

Health Minister Stephen Donnelly has said the average number of new cases per day here "is stable at almost 100 and R (reproductive rate) is close to 1". Superintendent Chris Ragsdale announced Thursday that the phased return to classroom instruction will start on October 5, given the dropping average of cases per 100,000 people.

One further death has also been reported.

There is now a total of 29,534 confirmed cases of Covid-19 in Ireland. Now, according to Georgia DPH, Cobb's average of cases per 100,000 over the last two weeks is 219.

The Department of Health reported 10 new cases of the coronavirus on Friday, bringing the total cases confirmed in Vermont since the beginning of the pandemic to 1,642.

While there is a significant number of new cases in Dublin Dr Glynn also says "It is important to look at the day's figures in the context of our seven and 14 day incidence rates".

There have been 26.7 million cases and 876,200 deaths worldwide.

Some of the common factors for an increase in cases and outbreaks are associated with college parties, weddings, large gatherings, bars and clubs, long-term care facilities and other congregate settings, travel to neighboring states, and spread among members of the same household who are not isolating at home.

No new deaths have been reported. Investigations continue and if a public health risk is identified, the public will be notified.

There has been a total of 1,777 COVID-19 related deaths in Ireland.

"There are 75 people linked to the community cluster who remain at the Auckland quarantine facility, which includes 58 people who have tested positive for Covid-19".
