Shepard, who has turf toe, was injured in Sunday's loss to the Bears.

He failed to hit those heights in his second year, though, as he was troubled by an ankle problem and his 2020 season could end with just 94 total yards. He is eligible to be reinstated to the roster after missing three games.

The 23 year-old ran for over 1,000 in his first two seasons, and was considered a cornerstone of the franchise.

On Friday, TV footage showed ambulances, fire trucks and police cordoning off the area around Charlie Hebdo's former offices. But after several high-profile attacks in recent years, DW's Paris correspondent Lisa Louis said France was still on edge.

With Barkley out, veteran Dion Lewis took over at halfback. The Falcons let him walk as a free agent this offseason and instead signed Todd Gurley. He turned down a deal that could have been worth $3 million with the Seattle Seahawks and recently visited with the Philadelphia Eagles.

Rather than turn to veteran choices on the lineup like Dion Lewis or children like Wayne Gallman, Joe Judge chose to sign a quality complimentary representative in previous Atlanta Falcons running back Devonta Freeman.

Freeman was selected to the Pro Bowl after both the 2015 and 2016 seasons, when he totaled 2,135 rushing yards, 127 catches and 27 touchdowns. The seven-time Pro Bowler did not practice all week due to a hamstring injury that he's been dealing with all season and aggravated in last Sunday's loss to the Cowboys. He does a great job of finding small seams and getting through the hole. He isn't going to totally replace Barkley, however this is a strong finalizing offered the lack of choices readily available on the marketplace.
