According to the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, Montana told deputies that his grandchild was sleeping in a playpen on Saturday when an unknown woman entered their home in Malibu and grabbed the child. On Saturday, Joe and his wife Jennifer were put into an unfortunate situation as their grandchild was nearly the victim of a kidnapping.

Citing unnamed police sources, TMZ Sports reports that a 39-year-old woman "walked away with Montana's grandchild to another part of the house where she was confronted by Joe and Jennifer".

"A tussle ensued and Mrs. Montana was able to safely pry the child out of the suspect's arms", the LASD statement stated.

Reports say the woman fled but was quickly captured by cops who were responding to another call several blocks away.
