Apple Watch Series 6 puts an emphasis on tracking blood oxygen levels

Apple is launching a fitness subscription service called Fitness+, which for a skosh under $80 a year will give users access to workouts and instruction, plus folds in music, delivered through the Apple Watch or iPad.

In addition, Apple Pencil (1st generation), will be available for purchase separately compatible with iPad (8th generation) for Rs 8,500 and Smart Keyboard for iPad will cost Rs 13,900 with layouts for over 30 languages, including simplified Chinese, French, German, Japanese, and Spanish. With its new offering, Apple is giving the iPad Air line-up a redesign and giving it some serious firepower that puts it in the same league as the iPad Pro portfolio.

Without those bezels, Apple has now placed the Touch ID fingerprint scanner on the top of the Air, as part of the power button, which should make unlocking the screen just as easy as before.

Prior to now, Apple usually reserves its new chipsets for its iPhones, the place they then follow-up with a variant of that chipset designed for the iPad.

The new iPad Air doesn't go on sale in Australia until next month.

To compensate for natural variations in the skin and improve accuracy, the Blood Oxygen sensor employs four clusters of green, red and infrared LEDs, along with the four photodiodes on the back crystal of Apple Watch, to measure light reflected back from blood, the company demonstrated. Williams was tapped to detail the company's new Apple Watch Series 6 and Apple Watch SE models. On the outside, it may not seem like an enormous upgrade, but Apple packed in a larger display, the new S6 processor, and even a Blood Oxygen sensor. It still starts at $329 (£329, AU$499), preorders start now and it ships Friday. The Watch Series 3 stays in the lineup at $199 (£199, AU$299). Measurements can also be taken in the background, including during sleep.

This one comes in more simple colours, and starts at $429 but is also available with 4G connectivity.

When the Series 5 was announced, Apple opted to lower the price of the Watch Series 3, providing an entry-level model for potential owners. It has also released the first cheaper Apple Watch SE for just $429. Parents can control who their child can send messages or call from the watch, set up location alerts, add Do Not Disturb modes for school time, and a new watch face informs teachers at a glance when the watch is in Do Not Disturb mode.

The Apple Watch Series 6 - while largely resembling the previous generation Apple Watch models - will now offer more colour options such a navy blue.
