307 new cases of Covid-19 confirmed, one newly reported death

An average of about 455 new positive test results for coronavirus were reported each day over the past two weeks.

The number of coronavirus patients in intensive care stands at six.

At a brief press conference Monday, Gov. Ron DeSantis said he believes the state will continue to see new case numbers drop, according to the AP.

Where the new cases are by county: Baker (9), Benton (2), Clackamas (16), Columbia (1), Deschutes (1), Douglas (2), Jackson (9), Jefferson (3), Lane (7), Lincoln (1), Linn (3), Malheur (7), Marion (19), Multnomah (29), Polk (5), Tillamook (1), Umatilla (5), Washington (26), Yamhill (8).

Fresno County reported 94 new confirmed cases Tuesday, part of 587 cases identified over the long holiday weekend. The county's testing rate per 1,000 people was 216.

Local coronavirus cases exceeded 1,300 Tuesday, as the DeKalb County Health Department reported 71 new cases of the novel coronavirus, representing four days' worth of data and an average of nearly 18 new cases a day over the Labor Day weekend.

According to county data, the city of DeKalb reports between 601 to 605 cases.

Globally, more than 27.4 million cases had been reported and about 895,000 people had died as of Tuesday, the data show.

Kings County: The county has yet to provide a Tuesday update, but on Friday night reported a surge of more than 200 new cases associated with state prisons in the county.
