Jennifer Araoz, a woman who says Epstein raped her in his NY mansion in 2002 when she was 15, said she feared the financier's ring of conspirators for years.
He hanged himself in Manhattan's Metropolitan Correctional Center on August 10 a year ago while awaiting trial on charges of trafficking minors for sex.
The British socialite and heiress has been accused of helping Epstein groom teen girls for sex with the rich and powerful. She will make a court appearance in New Hampshire on Thursday.
The US prosecutor investigating Jeffrey Epstein's sex crimes said she would welcome the testimony of Britain's Prince Andrew following the arrest of socialite Ghislaine Maxwell in the case Thursday. She played a "critical role" in helping Epstein identify, befriend and groom minor victims for abuse by Epstein, Strauss said. "Moreover, in an effort to hide her crimes, Maxwell repeatedly lied when questioned about her conduct, including in relation to some of the minor victims described herein, when providing testimony under oath in 2016".
Among the most sensational accusations was a claim by one Epstein victim, Virginia Roberts Giuffre, that Maxwell arranged for her to have sex with Prince Andrew at her London townhouse.
Andrew, 60, also vehemently denies claims he had sex with a 17-year-old girl procured by Epstein.
Maxwell's whereabouts have been a subject of much interest since the new charges were filed against Epstein. And we have charged those lies in two perjury counts. "Today is a very good day", he said.
According to the indictment, abuse happened at multiple locations, including at Epstein's Zorro Ranch in Stanley, New Mexico. Their names were not disclosed in court filings.
Acting US attorney for the district Audrey Strauss struck a milder tone on Thursday when she told reporters she would simply "welcome" a statement from the Queen's son at a press conference announcing charges against Maxwell, including allegations she participated in the abuse of young girls by Epstein.
McGrath Wins KY Senate Primary, Will Challenge McConnell In November
McGrath was the first woman to fly an F-18 in combat, and flew more than 85 combat missions in Iraq and Afghanistan. Despite her advantages, McGrath sweated out her primary victory against the hard-charging Booker.
After Maxwell won the girls' trust, the indictment alleges, she would try to "normalize sexual abuse" by discussing sexual topics or by undressing in front of them or being present when they were undressed.
Ghislaine Maxwell has been arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation, according to reports. He was free a little after a year in prison. "In short, Maxwell has three passports, large sums of money, extensive global connections and absolutely no reason to stay in the United States and face the possibility of a lengthy prison sentence".
The prosecution also maintains that from 2007 to 2011, around more than $20m was moved from accounts linked to Epstein, to accounts linked to Maxwell.
In the early 1990s, she moved to NY, where she began a romantic relationship with Epstein, who was a financier at the time.
"Now that the ring has been taken down, I know that I can't be hurt anymore. Her arrest is a step in that direction, and it truly means that the justice system didn't forget about us".
A lawyer who represented Maxwell in civil litigation did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
The papers allege Maxwell was aware that Epstein engaged in sex acts with the victim on multiple occasions - this includes times when the victim was under the age of 18.
The lawsuit alleges that Maxwell oversaw and trained recruiters, developed recruiting plans and helped hide the activity from law enforcement.
