COVID-19:Trump Wears Face Mask For The First Time

BBC reports Trump was seen wearing a face mask as he visited the Walter Reed Military Hospital outside Washington over the weekend.

His visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Center marked the U.S. president's first public appearance with a face-covering since COVID-19 began spreading across America, earlier this year. "Wearing a face mask as I greet presidents, prime ministers, dictators, kings, queens - I just don't see it", he once said.

Trump did not talk much to the media at the army facility, and just said "thank you" as he passed the cameras wearing a navy blue coloured face mask with a presidential seal embossed in gold.

Wearing masks I am not against it but they have time and place to wear.

Before the Saturday visit to Walter Reed, Trump had hinted to Fox News host Sean Hannity on Thursday that he might wear a mask to the hospital, ABC News reported.

Trump's usual reluctance to cover his mouth and nose in public has been a point of controversy during the nation's coronavirus crisis, especially as cases of COVID-19 continue to spike - particularly in Republican-led states.

CNN previously announced that Trump's agreement to give a mask in public was the result of strong "appearances" from supporters, urging the President to set an example for his supporters by wearing a mask during the visit.

The decision comes as Trump is trailing former Vice President Joe Biden in polling, including in Florida. I can tell you that some countries, they test when somebody walks into a hospital sick or walks into maybe a doctor's office, but usually a hospital. The ads, which open with a drone shot of the water tower in Marfa, are focused on the pandemic and the need for people to wear masks and social distance.

The United States hit a new daily record of coronavirus cases, at 66, 528.

The lawsuit mentioned that "to avoid community spread of COVID-19 and to protect the health and welfare of Plaintiffs and the community, it is necessary and essential that all super spreader events where large numbers of people congregate in close proximity indoors not occur".

To date, Florida has reported at least 301,800 infections and 4,521 deaths.
