The Witcher Season 2 to Resume Production in August, Netflix Says

Either way, I'm sure we can all agree that The Witcher season 2 resuming production is absolutely ace.

"As such, we have made the decision, effective immediately, to pause production for two weeks during this hard time, and we will support our production partners working on Netflix UK scripted series in doing the same". Here's hoping that everyone is safe during shooting and we hope the crew wears masks at all times. Consequently, the wait for the new season to begin streaming will undoubtedly last quite a bit longer.

For Geralt and his fellow characters, the fact that "Witcher" is getting ready to re-enter production is extremely good news. Although some fans were quick to complain about its multi-timeline format, the show's story and characters were engaging and enjoyable from the first moments of episode one. "The Witcher and his bard - who's flawless, will reunite on set 17 August", The Witcher's official Twitter handle announced.

The first season was a big success for Netflix, watched by 76 million households.

It's unclear if the production shutdown will affect the release of the previously-announced The Witcher: Nightmare of the Wolf, which is about Geralt's mentor, Vesemir (who'll be played in season 2 by Killing Eve actor Kim Bodnia).

With the addition of a handful of castmembers earlier this year, we now know everything there is to know about The Witcher season 2 cast.
