New cases in California hit daily record
LA County's numbers join the overall 69% rise in COVID-19 cases across California, an increase that spanned only two days. Ron DeSantis on Wednesday blamed rapid transmission in the 18-35 age group for the new rise in daily cases.

The producers are Scott Bernstein (Straight Outta Compton) and multiple Grammy-nominated producer Harvey Mason Jr.(Dreamgirls), who has produced music for both Aretha Franklin and Jennifer Hudson.

The movie follows the rise of Franklin's career from a child singing in her father's church choir to her becoming an worldwide superstar.

This project is separate from the one National Geographic season of "Genius" starring Cynthia Erivo as Franklin, set to debut sometime in late 2020.

The film was originally scheduled to release in August, but was pushed back due to the coronavirus pandemic. Now it is scheduled for a limited release on December 25 before going wide on January 15, 2021.
