The school on Friday announced 28 total positive test results among student-athletes and staff in June, but did not specify the sports they represented.

Clemson originally administered 169 tests to its student-athletes and staff, with three of those coming back positive. Close contacts of the individuals have been asked to self-quarantine for at least 14 days as well.

Most of the total cases have been asymptomatic, and none have required hospitalization.

The school said that the students who tested positive were from football, men's basketball, volleyball, men's soccer and women's soccer but according to a report from The Athletic, 23 of the 28 cases were from the football team.
