Apex Legends Lost Treasures collection event announced on EA Play Live 2020

We're huge fans of Nintendo here at Respawn and we're incredibly excited to be bringing Apex Legends to the Switch this Fall.

Apex Legends is still squarely in the middle of Season 5, but that doesn't mean that today's EA Play event is lacking news for Respawn's battle royale. It's coming to both platforms this "fall" (September through November).

Announced during the EA Play livestream last night, the popular battle royale will finally grace the Nintendo home console/handheld hybrid.

Lost Treasures itself focuses on Crypto, and will feature a new town takeover called, tellingly, Crypto's Map Room.

The mysterious hatches in Kings Canyon could be a part of the Lost Treasures event: the hidden loot bunkers will open up gradually over the course of the season, and players who are courageous enough to drop there will get their rewards in gold-rarity items. But it gets even better. Buy an Xbox. Once they fire up crossplay, however, Xbox, PS4, PC, and Switch players will be able to play together on the same servers. It is going to be available for a couple new platforms as well. You can expect more details about the Switch version in the coming months. Electronic Arts and Respawn Entertainment also promised a Steam release for the PC edition. The heirloom set comes shortly after a significant buff to the legend with Apex's fifth season, Fortune's Favor. Here you'll discover when cross platform multiplayer is being added to the game.
