Miramar police said Dunbar, who plays for the Seattle Seahawks, also turned himself in on what his attorney, Michael Grieco, calls "a bogus arrest warrant based exclusively on uncorroborated witness statements".
"The only thing he is guilty of is being in the wrong place at the wrong time", Michael Grieco, Dunbar's attorney, told NFL Media on Friday.
Baker, Seahawks cornerback Quinton Dunbar and two others are accused of ripping off $12,800, pricey Swiss watches - including an $18K Rolex, $25K Hublot, and a $17,500 Audemars Piguet - along with other valuables at a Miramar house party.
Police are still searching for Quinton Dunbar, a 27-year-old Seattle Seahawks cornerback, also charged with armed robbery.
As for Dunbar, alleged affidavits state that Dunbar was completely innocent in the matter and can eventually be cleared.
A police spokeswoman cited by the New York Times said that the players had not been arrested and that the police were in touch with the National Football League and a lawyer representing one of the players.
CNN has reached out to an attorney for Baker.
