The Match, Champions for Charity Golf

We've all been starving for live sports and competition amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The match is fielding former University of Tennessee quarterback Peyton Manning, teaming with Tiger Woods, against Tom Brady and Phil Mickelson.

The 42-year-old hooked his opening tee shot, mistimed a chip shot and then shanked another tee shot when National Basketball Association icon Charles Barkley offered £40,000 should Brady land his shot on the green.

And those fans that had slammed Brady's game soon hailed the superstar on Twitter.

With Memorial Day on Monday, more states are lifting restrictions to allow people to celebrate the holiday. While speaking the press, Kayleigh McEnany , displayed a check showing Trump's quarterly salary donations.

Charles Barkley is on the call that is being televised by TNT.

On a day when many players would not have contemplated braving the elements for a friendly fourball, the gallant competitors toughed it out and rewarded the viewers with close-to five hours of humour, interspersed with some good golf given the conditions. After three - Manning, Mickelson and Brady - hit the mark, Wilson and Ciara will now be donating 300,000 meals to the COVID-19 relief cause.

13 holes in, Woods and Manning are 2 up over Mickelson and Brady.

Brady did get in a nice little dig at one of his new division opponents. "Tom and I are going to go down there and put it to them".
