Adults receiving Social Security, disability, or survivor benefits who did not file 2018 or 2019 tax returns are expected to receive their payments via direct deposit imminently, by May 1.
They encourage people to focus on the initial April 22 deadline to reach as many people as possible.
H&R Block told Heavy in a statement: "The IRS has bank account information for all H&R Block clients who received tax refunds electronically, and is determining when and how stimulus payments are distributed".
The IRS and U.S. Treasury Department have provided more information in the last few days about why some consumers haven't been able to track the progress of their checks. If that detail is among the information sent to the government about a particular tax filer, that might delay the stimulus money being sent where it needs to go if an accurate bank account was not on file with the IRS.
