Research agency Countpoint has released the list of best selling smartphones worldwide, according to which the iPhone 11, which was launched in September past year, has become the second best selling smartphone.
Despite being the second-largest smartphone maker in the world, Huawei was notably absent from most of the lists. The list of top 10 smartphones globally and top 5 smartphones regionally doesn't include any Nokia smartphones, but there are some devices from which Nokia Mobile might learn something for the future. The iPhone 11's second place position was particularly impressive, given the phone was only on sale for just over three months in 2019.
Samsung's Galaxy A50 and Galaxy A10 rounded out the next spots as the third and fourth best selling phones of 2019, respectively.
The report reveals that the iPhone XR (Review) and iPhone 11 (Review) proved to the star performers for Apple with 3 percent and 2.1 percent market share. Market research firm Counterpoint Research has created a list of the best-selling smartphones a year ago. I would say Apple iPhone XR as it has already made a few headlines and based on the latest report by Counterpoint Research's Market Pulse, the same is true.
