Utah Jazz guard Emmanuel Mudiay was one of the players being tested for the coronavirus after a cataclysmic day in the National Basketball Association on Wednesday.

Gobert, 27, was speaking at a press conference on March 9 when he touched reporters' microphones and recorders sitting on the table in front of him.

"I have gone through so many emotions since learning of my diagnosis...mostly fear, anxiety, and embarrassment", Gobert said in a recent apology.

"The first and most important thing is I would like to publicly apologize to the people that I may have endangered". Any teammates, coaches or opposing players who came in contact with the infected athlete should also be isolated for the same period of time, said professors Peter Katona of UCLA and Rebecca Katz of Georgetown. "I was careless and make no excuse", Gobert wrote on Twitter and Instagram.

Karnataka Health Minister B Sriramulu also tweeted confirming about one more COVID-19 positive case in the state. In Afghanistan, the number of confirmed cases rose to seven from four, the health ministry said on Wednesday.

Utah Jazz star Rudy Gobert has reportedly tested positive for coronavirus, days after joking about the outbreak. OG Anunoby was in a late-game scuffle with Gobert, and the two players were ejected. "I will do whatever I can to support using my experience as way to educate others and prevent the spread of this virus". The Jazz were scheduled to tipoff against the Thunder in Oklahoma City when players were sent to their locker rooms and a public address announcer asked fans to leave the stadium.

According to a report from ESPN, players from five teams that played the Jazz within the past 10 days have been told to self-quarantine: the Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks, Boston Celtics and Detroit Pistons.

It is not known if Gobert is responsible for Mitchell contracting the virus, or vice versa.
