There was some speculation concerning whether or not the 41-year-old Brees was going to return for another season, but on Tuesday, he confirmed retirement isn't in his immediate future.

The New Orleans Saints know at least one of their three quarterbacks will return for the 2020 National Football League season.

In a social media post, Brees said that he looks forward to the grind and the journey. He is now set to enter free agency with his latest contract expiring this offseason, but his post Tuesday cleared stated he intends to remain with the Saints. "Love you #WhoDatNation. Let's make another run at it!"

Bridgewater's likely departure from New Orleans leaves Taysom Hill as Brees' primary back-up, assuming the Saints re-sign the restricted free agent.
