Ukraine investigates reports of illegal surveillance of the U.S. ambassador UU

Lev Parnas, an indicted associate of President Donald Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giuliani, is alleging that Trump tried multiple times to fire the USA ambassador to Ukraine, and is offering more details into the back-and-forth campaign to push Ukraine into launching an investigation to damage the president's political rival.

Robert Hyde, a Trump-loving Republican congressional hopeful from CT who was implicated in text messages with former Rudy Giuliani henchman Lev Parnas, posted a freakish conspiratorial rant on Friday in which he claimed to have been set up by Rep. Adam Schiff (D-CA).

"What do you think is the main inaccuracy or the main lie that's being told that you feel like you can correct?" Democrats of the House Intelligence Committee last month included in their investigation report into the removal of telephone tapes of the calls between Nunes and Parnas and other allies of President Donald Trump.

If true, Mr Parnas' account undercuts a key Republican defence of the president deployed during the ongoing impeachment fight - that Mr Trump's withholding of vital military aid to Ukraine last summer wasn't a quid pro quo for the Biden investigations because Mr Zelenskiy didn't know the money was being held up.

Interviewed on MSNBC, the Florida businessman insisted Mr Trump was "aware of all my movements". Parnas is a former associate of Trump's personal lawyer Rudy Giuliani.

The new documents include screenshots of undated text messages that appear to show Robert Hyde, a Republican congressional candidate in CT, messaging with a foreign number from Belgium, which appear to describe efforts to surveil Yovanovitch.

In a video posted on his own Twitter account, Hyde accused Schiff of trying to "f*ck with me" by having a man pretending to be a Ukrainian operative contact him about surveilling and possibly either kidnapping or assassinating former American ambassador to Ukraine Marie Yovanovitch.

The new documents also show communications between Parnas and Nunes Derek Harvey's aide, in which they arrange interviews with Ukrainian officials and apparent meetings at the Trump International hotel in Washington, D.C., including with Giuliani.

The fires have prompted an outpouring of donations from around the world to help communities and devastated animal populations. But a competitive hit-out wasn't really his goal, he said.

The day after Parnas said he delivered the message, the US State Department announced that Vice President Mike Pence would no longer be attending Volodymyr Zelenskyy's inauguration.

Trump and Giuliani have both said they have encouraged Ukraine to carry out the investigation into the Bidens. "Let me know", he wrote.

House Democrats on Friday evening released a new batch of messages from Parnas that added to the questions about the ambassador's security.

Ukrainian authorities also opened an investigation into a Russian hacking attack against Burisma Holdings, a company that employed the son of Democratic presidential candidate Joe Biden.

Yovanovitch said she found Trump's efforts to remove her undermining, unsafe and precedent-setting.

"Democrats tried to derail the Senate impeachment trial with a last-minute smear campaign disguised as important new evidence", Hannity said. The unknown person who uses the Belgian number tells Hyde about Yovanovitch's place of residence.

On May 7, Parnas writes 'we are at trump [hotel] with Rudy and John Salomon [sic] and joe in private room'.
