Top Iran General Was Planning To Kill "Many More" Americans


Israel, the US's closest ally in the Middle East and Iran's top regional enemy, has not publicly responded to the death of Quds Force chief Soleimani and Iraqi militia commander Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis in the USA air strike in Baghdad.

US President Trump said on his Twitter account that Soleimani should have been killed several years ago for his involvement of killing thousands of Americans.

"General Qassem Soleimani has killed or badly wounded thousands of Americans over an extended period of time, and was plotting to kill many more", Trump wrote in a tweet.

The United States has closely followed Soleimani's movements over the last few months and could have targeted him before. Gen. Qassem Soleimani in an overnight drone strike outside Baghdad International Airport, the questions eddying around the world can be simplified to just one: How will Iran respond?

"They are not certain what the United States retaliation will be and from Trump's perspective, he believes the Iranians stepped out of line".

The U.S. State Department issued a warning to American citizens to leave Iraq in the wake of the attack.

"The great nation of Iran will take revenge for this heinous crime", tweeted Hassan Rouhani, the president of Iran, after the US claimed responsibility for the act in a statement Thursday night.

Mr Hamdi was asked what he thought the "repercussions" of the killing would be and he said: "I think when we look at the dynamics in the region, let's look at Iran's possibilities and what they could possibly do". He has repeatedly called for withdrawing from Syria and Afghanistan, but over the past year he has greatly increased USA troop totals in the Middle East. He was directly and indirectly responsible for the death of millions of people, including the recent large number.

"So what if Trump wants war, knows this leads to war and needs the distraction?"

Qassem Soleimani was never going to die peacefully in his bed.

"Just since May of previous year alone.we've seen more than 15,000 USA troops - additional USA troops - being deployed across the Middle East", said the Army National Guard veteran. "The killer of Syria's children has been killed, the killer of Iraq's free people has been killed", he said in a post on social media.

Another user, who appears to be conscripted in the army, states that "poor" him is a "neutral soldier", pointing out that he expects his situation as part of the military to get much worse soon.
