Samsung Galaxy S20 camera modes, 8K video support revealed

Samsung is expected to unveil its 2020 Galaxy line-up on February 11. XDA Developers' source claimed that the device felt much flatter than S10 in the hand. The Mate X took the opposite approach to Samsung's Galaxy Fold by putting the screen on the outside, so when folded there's a screen on the front and back.

Around the front we have the nearly bezel-less Infinity-O display with the punch hole camera.

Last month, one of the most anticipated new folding phones, a revamped Motorola razr that folds vertically like a retro clam shell device, was forced to slightly delay its launch due to unanticipated demand. In addition to the very prominent sticker reminding whoever has access to the device that it's "CONFIDENTIAL" and very clearly states that no photos are allowed, the rear camera array lines up with previous leaks. The report adds that Samsung has opted for a panel of 2.5D curved glass, but the curvature is very subtle and the screen looks nearly flat.

CES 2020 is now done and dusted, which means it's time to turn our attention to the next big event, which is Samsung's first Galaxy Unpacked event of the year.

As mentioned, the Samsung Galaxy S11 or S20 has a list of rumored specs that any other handset would quiver at the sight of, but the list is so impressive that it feels a little fantastical.

First up is what Lisa Hsu calls the best laptop processor , the Mobile Ryzen 4000. Next is the new CPUs for the Ryzen 4000 series meant to be used on laptops.

No, the **** could have stood for "yawn" or "bore", because the actual name - as Ice Universe revealed in another tweet - is Samsung Galaxy Z Flip. Aside from the screen, you're taking a gander at an unknown 2GHz octa-center chip, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable stockpiling and cameras that incorporate a 25-megapixel selfie shooter alongside 13MP and 8MP cameras on the back. This in-house processor of the company also offer support for 5G.

Another interesting thing about the Galaxy XCover Pro is the fact that the device also feature two programmable buttons which according to Samsung can be programmed to work with certain applications such as Push-to-talk.

Unsurprisingly, Samsung will be introducing several new camera modes and features with the flagship.

We're not sure why Samsung went with this particular name, as it isn't the most remarkable. Since all the phones that will be powered by the Snapdragon 865 will have a 5G modem, it is safe to say the non-5G versions of the Galaxy S20 are the ones powered by the Exynos 990 chipset.
