Manchester United's Sergio Romero has been slammed for the "innocent victims" that were involved in his Lamborghini crash en route to training on Monday morning.

"He crashed his high powered vehicle into her auto driving out of control on the Carrington spur road this morning".

The 32-year-old Romero was seen in pictures posted on social networks next to the auto, which was stuck under a guardrail on the roadside near United's training ground in Carrington. Romero remains Argentine's number one goalkeeper and was in between the stick for his country at the 2014 World Cup finals, losing to eventual champions Germany.

That said, things can change quickly, and that progress, or otherwise, will largely be down to Manchester United . United's bid sits at around £40m, with £15m worth of add-ons taking the proposed deal to £55m overall.

Sergio Romero's €195,000 Lamborghini was wrecked in a crash near Manchester United's Carrington training ground. In total, he has played 53 times for United and kept an impressive tally of 34 clean sheets.

As understudy to David de Gea, the Argentina worldwide has made 53 appearances for United, mainly in cup competitions, since his move from Sampdoria in 2015. But he hasn't actually played in the Premier League since May 2018.
