That is why viewers of the 2020 Grammy Awards night are probably all in tears after Camila Cabello just had an emotional performance of her song "First Man", dedicated to the first man in her life, her father.

Singing the daddy/daughter song directly to her father, Alejandro Cabello, in the front row of the crowd.

American singer Camila Cabello and her Canadian boyfriend Shawn Mendes, who are known to be dating each other for sometime now, have been spotted kissing after the Grammys on a party bus, as per reports. Cabello and Mendes were nominated for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance.

The music industry's biggest night is expected to be dominated by a number of American newcomers - including Billie Eilish, Lil Nas X and Lizzo - but the Canadian superstars will be playing a major assist.

Cabello's dad was visibly emotional during the performance, crying and hugging his daughter at the end.

"A year ago last October I was in Nashville while on tour and I wanted to get in the studio and write because I hadn't had the chance for quite a while", she wrote. "And so he felt really protective over me and I just think that is the sweetest thing".

"I don't know; people can say whatever they want to say".
