Bieber teases about new music with Quavo and Murda Beatz

The musician recently implored his fans to stream and buy the R&B-infused single on iTunes during an Instagram Live session, in an effort to send "Yummy" to No 1 on the Billboard Hot 100.

Justin confronted heavy on-line criticism for repeatedly posting on social media for followers to stream "Yummy" to get it to the primary spot, which was considered shade to Roddy.

We also saw the announcement last June of an industry initiative including a new 'Anti-Stream Manipulation Code of Best Practice' signed by all three major labels plus publisher Sony/ATV and indie licensing agency Merlin; Spotify, Amazon and Deezer; and a range of industry bodies representing labels, publishers and artists.

As we previously reported, Roddy Ricch was the favorite to take the number on the Billboard Hot 100 courtesy of his single "The Box", which now has the most streams in the United States and predicts correctly. Seemingly nervous about the success of his new music after taking a significant break from putting anything out, Bieber asked fans to stream "Yummy" on repeat as they sleep, and asked foreign fans to download virtual private networks to keep his numbers growing.

On Monday, pop superstar Justin Bieber hit up Twitter to show Roddy some love and salute his record dominating the chart.

Xavi rejects Barcelona offer for now, Valdere position still unsafe
Xavi believes it is not the time to take over at Barcelona as he would prefer to start a project at the beginning of a new season. Barcelona lost 3-2 to Atletico Madrid in the Supercopa de Espana semifinals on Thursday, piling more scrutiny on Valverde .

As music blog Genius reports, Bieber is also employing more Billboard-approved strategies to boosting his song to No. 1.

Another person tweeted: "Justin Bieber, a white man, takes every trump he can to make sure that his boring, basic song becomes number 1 instead of a hard-working black artist".

Rookie rap Roddy Ricch has reason to smile from ear to ear.

However, Bieber did have some fans stick up for him.

The upcoming Hot 100 hit list is due to be finalized shortly and is likely to crown "The Box" as the new song on the charts in America.
