Arteta is in talks about becoming the next manager at the Emirates and Guardiola admits it will be hard for the Spaniard to reject the role to stay as his assistant at Manchester City. "Why? Because Arsenal is struggling and I think if the directors of Arsenal listen to him and go in his way, maybe it's going to work".

"When I want to do finishing after training, I tell him and he comes and helps me". He's travelling [to Oxford] yeah. He's an incredible person, good manager.

Arsenal chief executive Vinai Venkatesham is said to have met Arteta on Sunday and Guardiola, speaking ahead of City's EFL Cup quarter-final with Oxford United, confirmed he was aware of discussions between the two parties.

"Mikel knows exactly what we think about him".

"He knows exactly what we think about him, at the club, after that, we can not do more".

Meanwhile, City have been handed a tough round-of-16 draw against Real Madrid in the Champions League, but Guardiola insists he is confident of progressing.

How much are train fares going up in Kent?
He urged passengers to "offset the cost of the fare rises" by claiming compensation for every eligible delay. In another tweet, Yechury called the rail fare hike, "New year gift from the Modi government.".

The frustrated players are all said to have wanted to see former Napoli boss Carlo Ancelotti come through the door at the Emirates, but the legendary Italian is now expected to take charge of Everton instead.

"I dream to play with him", he added.

Merson went on to claim that the players at his disposal will make life hard for him, insisting that it will be impossible for him to take a similar style of play from City to Arsenal and expect it to work straight away.

"We'll see the feeling in February. We made a decision to work together three years ago, I'd like him to be up here on Wednesday". "It's incredibly good news for us".

Interim head coach Freddie Ljungberg replaced Emery following his sacking last month but has won just one of his four league games at the helm, while the club are on a run of just one win from 12 games in total.

Arsenal's stars all respect Arteta for his playing career, but they are wary that this would be his first managerial role.
