Solskjaer insists Man Utd happy negotiating with Raiola for Haaland

Paul Pogba became Manchester United's costliest player in their history after they paid £90m to Juventus to bring him back to Old Trafford.

The France global is a transfer target for Real Madrid with boss Zinedine Zidane a known admirer.

"I don't really speak to agents, because I have nothing to do with the money side of it, but the final decision on who becomes a Manchester United player will be mine".

As British presses reported earlier, Pogba has refused to sign a new contract with Manchester United and wants to transfer to Real Madrid.

Pogba only has 18 months left on his current deal and while United have the option to extend it by a year, he has made it clear he will not sign a new one.

He is eager to move to the Spanish giants Barcelona or Real Madrid, but United's position is that it will not be sold.

Paul Pogba hasn't played for Manchester United since the end of September and the signs are not good.

Australia records its hottest day. At least for now
This record could be broken again with intense heat expected across most of Australia for Thursday and Friday. Morrison last week made a rare admission that climate change was one of the "factors" behind the fires.

The circumstances suggest that we might witness a transfer drama in the summer, but for now, Pogba is still a Man Utd player.

Solskjaer also reiterated yesterday that Pogba's immediate future still lay at United when he said there would be no exit route in the next transfer window.

"He will want to be out there playing and training with the boys and he is one of their best players".

But Solskjaer said the 19-year-old was "on a Christmas holiday".

"Being out for a long time like Paul is the worst thing that can happen to a player, because everyone wants to play".

"Is there a better midfielder than Pogba in the world?" he asked.

"I can say 99.99 per cent sure they won't go but there's always a chance teams will be interested in some of ours". Other top clubs simply do not want to face them in the Champions League. Nobody is flawless. Is he also responsible for failure?
