Snow squall expected to hit Staten Island Wednesday afternoon

The National Weather Service issued a wind chill advisory for all four counties in Western Massachusetts.

As of Monday morning, forecasts predict the Macon area could see less than an inch of rain Tuesday with the strongest storms occurring between 7 and 9 a.m.

"Motorists should drive with caution", the National Weather Service said.

Thursday, Dec. 19 will be sunny and very cold, with a high temperature only in the mid to upper 20s. "It doesn't last a long time, but can be very unsafe", Vallier-Talbot said.

"The northwest Lower cities to get hit hardest are Kalkaska, Mancelona, Grayling and Gaylord", MLive Meteorologist Mark Torregrossa has said.

The warning is in effect until 4:15 p.m. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent.
