Injured Dak Prescott can't even function ahead of Eagles showdown

The Los Angeles Rams' playoff chances weren't exactly great entering Week 15, but they were just one game behind the Vikings for the sixth seed in the NFC. We will officially be watching the Green Bay Packers in the playoffs. Only time will tell if the Rams will be there or not. In their first meeting with the Eagles, Prescott completed 21 of 27 passes while averaging 7 completed air yards out of 8.1 average intended air yards. That is, until someone stepped in and chose to take Dak Prescott's late correction as the Dallas choice, thereby giving them the second half kick. It is conceivable that the rams will also carry the ball into the second half.

Kai Forbath made all three of his field goals, from 50, 42 and 42 yards, and all five of his extra points in his Dallas debut after the Cowboys cut Brett Maher following three critical misses in a span of two games.

Rams coach Sean McVay watches from the sideline during the first half against the Dallas Cowboys.

When Dallas' offense is able to run the ball like this, they are a hard team to beat. The Cowboys running back previously had that injury and said he couldn't imagine throwing through the pain. That gave McVay and defensive coordinator Wade Phillips confidence as they prepared for the Cowboys. The defense allowed points and yards once the game was well over, but they shut down Jared Goff and Todd Gurley for most of it. It won't be better this week with Greg Ward, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside and Robert Davis the outside receivers, having a combined 27 career catches. Prescott has thrown for 26 touchdowns, while Rodgers has thrown for 24.

The Dallas Cowboys are on the road for a critical divisional game with the Philadelphia Eagles. The veteran tight end brought in 61 receiving yards against the Redskins, and he leads the team with 888 receiving yards on the year. Austin also rushed for three yards on two carries.

Patriots Admit Video Crew Violated League Policy, Unintentionally
Belichick says he was not involved and was unaware of what happened during the Bengals' game last weekend in Cleveland. The team has denied any wrongdoing and said the video team was filming a segment about working as an advanced scout.

Tony Pollard followed that up with a 44-yard rushing touchdown for the Dallas Cowboys.

The Cowboys season has been one of the most interesting to follow and Prescott's injury is yet another example of this. Dak Prescott was sharp, recording 212 passing yards and two touchdowns.

But that was all the Rams could muster. At this time, Dak is expected to play, although that could change in the coming days. Elliott capped the drive with a short touchdown run with just under two minutes left in the half.

The injury to Prescott's AC joint came during a first-quarter run as he was tackled by Rams linebacker Clay Matthews.
