There was no one closer to Whitney Houston than her best friend, Robyn Crawford.

In her new memoir, she claims that they embarked on a romantic relationship which Houston ended before she signed her first record deal.

Houston declared that they could no longer be physical among them because it would make their lives more hard, and in the 1980s, Crawford felt the same. Robyn explains Whitney told her they had to stop seeing each other, as she felt it would sink her music career.

Even while being pursued by Bobby Brown in 1989, Crawford writes, "She was more interested in Eddie Murphy, but he was elusive".

Crawford went on to describe the relationship itself, saying, "We were intimate on many levels and all I can say is that it was very deep and we were very connected".

She writes in the book, which is excerpted in People magazine: "It was during that first summer that we met".

"We wanted to be together", Crawford declared.

While there has been persistent speculation regarding Crawford and Houston's close relationship, neither had ever publicly addressed the rumors until now.

Ayatollah Khamenei's tirade about Washington came on the eve of the 40th anniversary of the seizure of the USA embassy in Tehran . This year's commemoration of the embassy seizure comes as Iran's regional allies in Iraq and Lebanon face widespread protests.

Whitney did indeed marry Bobby, now 50, on July 18, 1992 but Robyn claims she always preferred Eddie, 58, to Bobby but he let her down by standing her up.

In the movie, Whitney's non-public assistant Ellin Lavar shared her views on the slack singer's sexuality, bringing up: 'I don't assume she became as soon as delighted, I feel she became as soon as bisexual.

"We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay", wrote Crawford. Her mom, Cissy Houston, didn't think it was "natural for two women to be that close".

Robyn Crawford is breaking her silence.

However, the filmmaker has talked about how Houston's family generally characterized the two women as lovers. A Tune For You hits cabinets on November 12.

"I have a lot of lovely, wonderful, exciting, adventurous, loving, caring memories of Whitney", she says. As previously reported, Whitney died in 2012 from accidental drowning. The same documentary notes that it was not until after Crawford left Houston's life entirely that Houston spiraled into the drug use that would eventually end in her death. "We really meant everything to each other". Today, Crawford is a fitness trainer who lives a quiet life with her partner, talent agency executive Lisa Hintelmann, with whom she adopted two children.

One Twitter user wrote: "Cissy must've received an advance copy of Robyn Crawford 's book". "I was in that moment, it was ours... she just came into my life all of the sudden, I didn't know how long it was gonna last, but I was just enjoying the moment".
