Kilmeade added that some people might not be surprised with Schiff's behavior because "he's from California", but that Schiff speaking out against Trump was different than vouching for 2020 Democratic candidates like Senators Cory Booker and Amy Klobuchar. The president tweeted, "Everywhere Marie Yovanovich went turned bad", and that the Ukrainian president "spoke unfavorably about her".
But for the fact that Schiff read the president's tweet to the witness during the course of the hearing, she would have not known about the tweet.
'She was not on the July 25 phone call and had no knowledge about the pause on aid to Ukraine. "It is a U.S. President's absolute right to appoint ambassadors".
"I mean, I - I don't think I have such powers, not in Mogadishu and Somalia and not in other places", she answered.

During a break in the proceedings, Schiff stopped to briefly speak with reporters.
President Donald Trump stunned America and likely many around the world when he engaged in what experts are calling "witness intimidation" and "witness tampering" in real time by tweeting attacks against former Ukraine Ambassador Marie Yovanovitch as she testified before Congress during Friday's House impeachment hearing.
Kilmeade said he would be "furious" if he was House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who entrusted Schiff with leading Trump's impeachment inquiry.
Schiff reiterated the witness intimidation allegation during an intermission in Yovanovitch's testimony. Gee, Pelosi & Schitt [Schiff] have a good idea, "lets Impeach the President",' Trump wrote in a tweet on Saturday.
"We would ask the president to stop obstructing the impeachment inquiry", Schiff said. "Extraordinarily poor judgment.... Obviously this was quite injurious".
