Cornerback Fabian Moreau had just caught an interception in the closing seconds of the game against the Detroit Lions, sending the stadium - and Haskins - into a frenzy, ahead of what was about to be Washington's first home win for 399 days. I looked up and we were in victory (formation). "I don't laugh at it", Callahan says.

Although he didn't technically finish out the game, the Redskins win over the Lions was Haskins' first National Football League win as a starter, according to ESPN.

"How do miss the last snap of a game because ur taking selfies", Theisman tweeted.

Jaime Lopez-Verduzco, who was the lucky fan with the selfie had his own response for Theismann. "A youthful exuberance. I think it got away from him a little bit".

Haskins told reporters including ESPN's John Keim that he didn't know there was still time left on the clock, and Callahan said he will address it with Haskins later on.

"We were looking for him", interim coach Bill Callahan said of Haskins, according to the Washington Post.

This season was a campaign to forget for the Washington Redskins and their quarterback situation was a big part of it. Case Keenum did not behave very well while Dwayne Haskins had growth problems while ending up in the starting position. You can count Redskins great Joe Theisman in that camp.

"I'll get it next time", Haskins said. 'At the end of the day it's a picture of a new player in the league and the new fan of the league'.

He completed 6 of 9 passes for 68 yards on the final two possessions, including a crucial third-and-five conversion to rookie wide receiver Terry McLaurin that set up the game-winning field goal.
