The laptop is believed to not much larger than the current 15-inch MacBook Pro thanks to slimmer bezels around the display.

This will be the first major update since the MacBook Pro line was redesigned three years ago. Forbes also reported that a source in Asia said production was indeed underway.

The 16-inch form factor, up in size from the traditional 15-inch form factor suggested that the new model could bring an all-new design, but early indications are that it will simply be a refinement of the existing design - at least aesthetically. Multiple sources indicate that the launch Apple's biggest laptop in years could be imminent. Even the newest MacBook Pro models retain the Butterfly keyboards, but there have been rumors that Apple would move back to a standard scissor switch moving forward.

In most recent reports and software leaks, there are some signs that Apple could make the Touch ID sensor separate from the Touch Bar and add in a physical ESC key. Pricing is similarly unknown, but users should expect a price tag higher than the $2,799 15-inch MacBook Pro.
