The US Launched A Secret Cyber Attack Against Iran


The threat of an immediate conflict between Saudi Arabia and Iran has been averted thanks to Pakistan's diplomatic efforts, Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi announced on Wednesday.

According to Foreign Office, the Prime Minister will confer with the Saudi leadership in light of his recent consultations with other leaders.

The US, Saudi Arabia, Britain, France and Germany have publicly blamed the September 14 attack against the oil facilities on Tehran, which denied any involvement.

Days after the attacks on vital oil infrastructure in the Kingdom, Saudi Arabia said it had chose to join the USA -led maritime security coalition that aims to ensure freedom of navigation and safe passage through the Persian Gulf.

American officials have told Reuters on Wednesday that the United States launched a secret cyber attack against Iran after the September 14 predawn missile attacks on the Saudi oil fields, which destroyed more than half of Saudi Arabia's output. Both Riyadh and Washington blamed Tehran, which strongly denied its involvement.

According to sources, the premier will hold key meetings with Saudi leadership to devise solutions for reducing crisis between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Those sanctions came after Trump unilaterally withdrew the USA from Tehran's nuclear deal with world powers past year. The Iran-aligned Houthi militant group in Yemen claimed responsibility. However, in an interview with CBS programme "60 Minutes", the crown prince stated that a war with Iran will be catastrophic for the global economy.

Shamkhani also reiterated Iran's disagreement with Turkey's operations in Syria adding that regional unrest must be resolved only through diplomacy between Syrian-Syrian and Yemeni-Yemeni parties.

There have been at least four major and minor initiatives by Pakistan to mediate between the two countries since the 80s. United States officials have now said that the USA responded with a cyber attack against Iran's "propaganda" infrastructure. Moreover, the United States would not be expected to attack an Iranian vessel in the Red Sea, something that could cause an environmental disaster.

This is Prime Minister Imran Khan's third visit to Saudi Arabia this year. On that occasion, Saudi Arabia did not encourage the initiative.
