No. 25 Michigan State seeks another upset of No. 4 Buckeyes

Overall, the Spartans have defeated Ohio State 10 times since 1971 when the Buckeyes entered the game ranked in the AP Top 25.

Joshua Alabi was a surprise starter at right tackle for Ohio State last week against Nebraska and responded with a performance that earned him offensive player-of-the-game honors from coaches. A strong defense has played a big role in the 4-1 beginning for Mark D'Antonio's team, and stopping Justin Fields is going to be priority No. 1 in this one. The Kirk Cousins-led Spartans made the Big Ten title game in 2011, then Michigan State won the conference in 2013, beating Meyer and the Buckeyes for the championship. The Buckeyes have clinical with their execution and dominance so far this season, and outside of that hot minute when Miami (Ohio) was up 5-0, they have been operating with very little resistance.

Michigan State's offense is scoring 31.4 points per game despite that low-scoring outing but if Arizona State can hold them to one score I guarantee that Ohio State can absolutely dominate the Spartans' offense as the Buckeyes are only allowing 8.6 points per game, fourth in the nation. Consider that No. 25 Michigan State prevailed in a 40-31 shootout last week with in, a team the Buckeyes routed easily 51-10 in week three. "We've got two big ones", Dantonio said.

Man kills 1, wounds at least 9 at Finland shopping center
In 2017, two people were killed and eight injured in a stabbing attack in the main square of Turku, a city in southwest Finland . Police didn't give the suspect's age, but said he was born in 1994 and he's a Finnish national without a prior criminal record.

It's all ancient history to the players. If things continue to go according to plan, the Buckeyes sneak into the top-4 this season after missing out past year despite going undefeated. Justin Fields is completing almost 70 percent of his passes and has thrown for 1,092 yards and 16 touchdowns without a pick through five games. He's the only quarterback in the country with a passing and rushing touchdown in all five games this season. Fields is responsible for 138 points this season, second behind Tua Tagovailoa. The O-line has been excellent this season.

Among the others of note who didn't travel with the Spartans and weren't previously ruled out were defensive ends Michael Fletcher and Adam Berghorst, receiver Weston Bridges and offensive lineman Mustafa Khaleefah.

Chase Young already has eight sacks on the year and is looking like a potential high draft selection next year. He led the conference in tackles-for-loss last season with 20.5 and likely would be in the National Football League already had he not broken his leg in the bowl game.
