Man wins lottery jackpot, but kept it a secret for 10 months

Correction: A previous version of this story misstated how long Bon Truong had been playing the same lottery numbers. For one Edmonton Lotto Max victor who won $60 million, that turned out to be true.

Bon Truong, who moved from Vietnam to Canada more than 30 years ago, collected his Lotto Max winnings 10 months after he was the sole victor for the October 26, 2018, drawing. Officials with AGLC were on hand to congratulate him.

Earlier this month, a veteran in OR realized he won $6.5 million before nearly throwing away the winning $5 lotto ticket.

$65 million dollars in prizes were announced in one day earlier this week and a ticket purchased in Nanaimo has netted its owner five million dollars thanks to a Lotto 6/49 draw. "I won!" Bowker said. My body calm down.

"After those big, main things, I'd like to take my family on a holiday", he said in a statement.

Of the 10 biggest wins by Albertans, Truong is only the third victor from Edmonton or Calgary.

When he first called his wife with the news, he didn't tell her that he'd won the big prize.

Miami mayor to sign emergency declaration despite Dorian's projected path
According to the National Hurricane Center (NHC), a "notable change" to the storm's path occurred overnight. Public safety officials announced that they won't be opening emergency shelters Saturday afternoon.

An Alberta man came forward to claim a $45 million lottery jackpot 10 months after he discovered his grand prize win.

Truong has three children and said they also haven't been told that daddy is a multimillionaire.

Truong stated: 'I began to consider what this win would imply for my household. Truong doesn't want his kids to be spoiled and still intends to raise them to learn the value of working for a living. "Right now, I keep quiet".

He said he wants to "pay the mortgage first".

Truong was so surprised by his luck that he went to his native retailer and requested the clerk to print out the successful numbers, simply so he might see them in black and white.

He says he went home and sat by himself and needed the following months to think.

Truong has performed the identical numbers - 2, three, four, eight, 9, 20 and 30 - for the final three many years.
