Stipe has thus won sweet revenge on Cormier and is bringing back the UFC Heavyweight Champion title to OH after he lost it to Cormier in Las Vegas 13 months ago.

Leading up to the fourth, the judges had the fight scored in favor of Cormier, who showed skill scoring a takedown in the first, while his standup game scored consistently in the second and third, without ever causing damage to Miocic.

Asked about the possibility of calling it a day, Cormier conceded he must take serious consideration over his next move.

"A lot of times we base decisions in emotion".

"But, it is a tough pill to swallow". This has been the most awesome journey, I will decide what I am gonna do now, and as soon as I decide you will all know right away.

The 40-year-old lost his heavyweight belt after the fight was stopped in the fourth round following a barrage of body shots. It took me a little time to get my mojo, and I just wasn't feeling it.

Miocic landed a big right after that, and Cormier staggered back to the cage.

On May 13, the light emanating from Sagittarius A* mysteriously increased by 75 times in brightness over the course of two hours. They now put forth the possibility that the show simply might have been delayed rather than cancelled.

"He did a great job of following up and he's a fantastic champion", Cormier said.

UFC president Dana White also said he was unsure of the American MMA superstar's future in the octagon.

While the newly crowned champion admits that he fought like crap in the first few rounds of the bout, one thing Miocic knew is that the finish would come in the fourth round.

"I felt like that hook to the body was hurting him", Miocic said. "Just relax. Go home and spend some time with your family and we'll talk about all that s*** later".

Following his win against Anthony Pettis in the co-main event, Diaz was asked if he had an appetite to fight the controversial welterweight.

A trilogy fight against McGregor could now be on the cards and Diaz is open to reigniting his rivalry with the Irishman.

"It would essentially be a matter of me wanting to go back and right the wrong of this fight tonight", Cormier told ESPN.
