Apple invites press to September 10th event, confirming iPhone 11 launch date

The launch event will take place on September 10 in the Steve Jobs Theater at the company's headquarters in Cupertino, California, according to an invitation Apple sent out. Sadly, the launch invite didn't reveal any key feature of the next-gen Apple iPhone lineup. The show will kick off at 10:00 am PT, and it'll be taking place at the Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, CA. There should be three different models: Two with OLED screens in 5.8- and 6.5-inch sizes; and one LCD iPhone that's 6.1 inches.

It's almost certain this year's unveiling will be September 10.

Apple is giving us more options for fixing our iPhones. Apple will announce "Pro" successors to the iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max, as well as an upgrade to the iPhone XR, Bloomberg News reported earlier this month. The wide-angle lens has been a constant fixture in all the triple camera set ups launched so far.

Apple had always been the leader in mobile photography until Huawei pulled ahead a few years ago, and now there are several other Android phone makers like Google and Samsung that have better-rated cameras than Apple's most recent iPhones. And they might be first phones to use a new Apple Pencil. In 2019, the iPhone 11 will once again use the same iPhone design for a third consecutive year, so it'll also feature new cameras and new finishes.

In something of an about-face for Apple, the company will now make it much easier for third-party fix shops to provide the same level of service as Apple and authorized service providers when it comes to iPhone repairs.

There should also be a new Apple Watch and maybe the latest version of the Apple TV as well.
